Iris is a beautiful, blue female Weimaraner from the Irreplaceable litter looking for her furever home.  She will turn 1 in March 2023.

 “To err is human – to forgive, canine.” – Unknown Meet Airsong’s “Sarge” True words—dogs have an amazing ability to forgive, even if sometimes it takes a while to learn to trust again. Once they do, it does something warm and fuzzy to your heart. Such as the case with Sarge.  Sarge is an approximately 5-year-old Husky Mix that came to the rescue completely feral, wanting no one around him. But has made HUGE strides in learning that human hands don’t have to be scary, they can be kind and offer good things. These days, Kat gets in his crate with him, gets snuggles and kisses, loves ear and belly scratches…all things a dog should love and experience.  He is a truly sweet boy that has started to forgive but needs more time and attention. He has a way to go—he still has issues with things around his neck, likely from trauma with a catchpole, so you can’t put anything around his neck. He needs patience, soft words and hands that will continue to teach trust.  We are looking for an experienced adopter, foster home or rescue that can give him some more individualized attention. Someone who can establish a fairly stable routine as part of gaining his trust and developing his confidence.  He is up to date on vaccinations, unaltered and tested (slightly) HW+ so he has begun the “slow kill” method of treatment that will need to continue. Fat Free Chocolate Kisses! Meet Airsong’s Dark Chocolate Kiss “Kimber”  I mean, zero calories chocolate? Who could resist that?  Kimber is a pure-bred chocolate lab puppy just over a year old with a great personality, chock full of energy and melt in your mouth sweetness. She is so ready to find her forever family to call her own, in fact, she needs it! See, this sweet pup came into the rescue with her sister as babies. They both had a medical condition called Mega-E (for short) that impacts the esophagus. You would have never known anything was wrong as puppies, they just needed some specialized care as they grew and fortunately it has completely healed! Her sister has been adopted by a loving family, now it’s Kimber’s turn to find her furever home.  Now, not only are we talking guilt free chocolate, this puppy is fully house AND crate trained, great with other dogs AND with kids! This is the absolute best type of puppy--already house trained!!!! While Kimber is healed, there are a couple of easy things that will continue promoting that health. Mainly, her kibble will need to be completely soaked through and she cannot have a collar around her neck. She must be trained for walking using an Easy Lead, again all to help protect her throat. That is it—easy peasy! Kimber turned a year old on April 19th and is unaltered so a Foster to Adopt contract is required.
